Why is my red crape blooming pink/white?
Modified on: Fri, 12 Jan, 2018 at 1:13 PM
This is completely normal. All red crape myrtles can bloom white or pink when they first open, especially if it is cloudy or they are in shade. As the sun hits them they darken to red as the pigment is activated. If you don't have them in full sun they may never become their brightest possible red.
